Is it a good idea to put planned DLC in your kickstarter or is a sure sign of future moneygrabs?
On one hand, it could show that you're trying to handle money correctly and have your studio as a legitimate business.

If there's one thing I could remove from the game industry it'd be dlc. Everytime I see dlc for a game I wonder how much of that they just cut from the main game for a profit or because they didnt want to release a month later so now you're charged 20$. Early access is also bad but its easily avoidable and will die out if developers keep putting out shit. content being cut for more money isn't as avoidable though.

The USSR was actually pretty progressive in its media at least. There's a movie from 1936 in the Soviet Union about accepting a white woman with a black baby and plenty of movies with women as the main characters, though not in fighting roles in the military.

I wouldn't mind seeing women in a game about the Red Army as long as the game is representative of the actual percentage of women on the front lines.
So, 3% of the armed forces, but a lot of that could be auxiliary roles, and not front lines. Does anyone have that number? Because that's the percentage of women I'd like to see.

The issue is that if women were implemented into this game/other games, the ratio of men to women even in combat roles that should be predominately men will be almost 1-1. Some other games I've played seemed to put more women characters in important roles than they do men, which sort of bothers me. I don't care if you wanna split it 50/50, but don't put what seems like more women than men just for the sake of saying "See? Women can be leaders too!"

Commies (and I believe the Brits too, at least early in the war) used women in army in non front-line combat roles. For example there were whole squads of artillery and AA gun made up of women, usually stationing right behind the front and deeper back.

Content that couldn't make the final version because of deadlines so let's release it later as DLC when we finished it
Due to populair demand let's add in these characters, maps, costumes
Let's lock a part of the game that's already on-disc and then release a code that unlocks on-disc content later for maximum shills.
I have no problem with number 1 and 2, if the content is worth it at least, but there is no justification for 3.

There was more russians serving in the wehrmacht than there were women fighting in frontline combat roles, it was all a propaganda gimmick.

There were 800,000 females serving in all of the Soviet armed forces during the second world war. That figure is about 3% of total military personnel. Then you refine that down to just the army. In the army they served mostly as medics, communications personnel and political officers with 43% of physicians being women. There were even reforms passed through that specifically put them in the second lines of defense such as anti aircraft regiments so that more men could be rotated to the front in order to replace the huge losses they were suffering.
So putting them in a video game and making even one in a team of sixteen or thirty two soldiers a female is a heinous misrepresentation about the role that they played and is only done so that the devs can circle jerk about how progressive they are.
