Well, at least it is not about rabbits and shit.It is actually pretty decent for a mobile game, but sometimes the touch controls are annoying, and the game was probably designed with controllers and actual buttons in mind since it loves to talk about its controller support.
I don't care about the 3D style that much (Great Escape was fun but I don't really cared about the other ones). But, while I enjoy this new sanic Rayman and his THICK fairies, I kinda miss the old, slow-paced style. The first Rayman on PC is fucking beautiful.

Honestly, I doubt anyone will ever go back to 3D platformers. Except for Nintendo once in a while, I guess.
It is like horizontal shoot'em'ups, pretty much nobody touches this genre nowadays. On other hand, 2D platformers will stay alive for a long time thanks to indie developers (though nowadays it looks more like a curse instead of a blessing).

Maybe it's my nostalgia goggles but Hoodloom Havok had some of the best platforming action I've seen. The parts with the mirror and floating platforms where some times you're only visible in the mirror, or the platforms are, or vice versa, 10/10 dude.

Also I really need to go and finally re-install it and finish it. Couldn't finish it as a kid because back then my PC wasn't powerful enough when I got to the level after the whole 1st ever boss fight with Reflux.
