I'm pissed. I painstakingly equipped all of my characters to ensure that all the gear would carry over. At first, it does, but then your characters get taken away, you get to keep what is in their inventories, but the stuff they wear gets overwritten with default equipment later when you re-recruit them. For what fucking purpose? I could have circumvented this by just loading everyone's inventory before finishing the beginning dungeon, but I'm too lazy to go back and do this.

Having SoD installed while playing BG1 still breaks mods since SoD exists in its own zip file that is applied LAST so any modded files you have applied are still being overwritten by their respective versions from SoD causing all kinds of fuckups with mods like NPC Project.
And even if you don't have SoD applied, just pure 2.0 patch (you can tell between 2.0 or 2.0+SoD by UI. 2.0 has blue/gold UI while 2.0+SoD has black/red UI) the bugfixes they implemented still affected some files which are also modified by mods and thus get fucked as well.
You need to wait for modders to update their shit to 2.0/SoD.

You can complete it fast if you don't do anything extra. I like BG1 for what it is: a low-level adventure without the need of so much magic stuff, where as in BG2, anything less than +2 enchanted weapons is instantly trashed.
