The AI being shit actually made the games funner. The bots were so easy to kill that they gave even the most casual players something positive to achieve, leaving the more experienced players to kill each other.
In Battlefront, even a beginner would end each game with a positive kill per death ratio, whereas in other multiplayer games noob players just get curb stomped.
Every player can make a positive difference to their team, even if they don't kill a single other player. This makes it fun for everyone.
And don't pretend you didn't enjoy getting hundreds of kills against the shitty AI while in a vehicle on BF1.
