It seems to have more dungeon crawling and character building with shops and more loot and stuff. I love Nuclear Throne for what it is, but it's very fast and arcadey and there really isn't that much variety from run to run so I'm looking forward to this. I want to roam around a dungeon with arcadey fights but slower paced RPG exploration and character progression.

Some actual equipment would be nice too, BoI is fun for what it is too but running around picking up random passive items isn't that thrilling to me

It basically has the core mechanics of Nuclear Throne. However, the weapons and equipment are way more varied in NeuroVoider. You gain scrap (basically cash monies) you can use this to repair (which costs a lot of scrap so you better know how to dodge and shoot) so you have to financially be prepared. Also, you can loot all kinds of procedural generated weapons and equipment and will determine partly on how you can proceed your future levels which is half the battle.
It's just Nuclear Throne but with more equipment management. It's fucking fun.

To be fair though compared to NeuroVoider, Nuclear Throne is more arcadey and takes more skill imo and I mean that by just a hair or two. but the difference is the looting and equipment.
