I tried playing the second one and I didn't like it.
Her attack is way too imprecise. It pisses me off. Trying to hit flying enemies is like pulling teeth.
I know I don't speak for all of /v/, but I'd say it's just good overall. Not amazing, not terrible, just good. The art is also extremely fappable, but as a game it's a fun experience that isn't really memorable. I 100% it in one day, didn't really see a need to go back to it.

I only played the one on GBC and it got great dungeons, I liked it.

I enjoy them quite a bit. I will admit to being somewhat disappointed, hoping that they'll be a bit more than they actually are. But still, charming cast of characters and its fun to run around in them.
