From what I could discern from reading the reviews and watching demos of the game; Quantum Leap is too cinematic for its own good. The camera takes control away from the player, certain time stop segments force you to do this specific thing in a specific way etc. It's the hand holding and back pushing that people dislike. Turns out even casuals dislike this and just want to play the damn game.
