Once Anither party member learns Haste and Protect, Sazh is useless. Never use Fang or Vanille as synergists because they only have access to tier 3 buffs. Vanille is a bit more useful than Hope in mid-game but you'll switch to Hope as he the game goes on. Fang is better than Snow because the class bonus from Sentinels should ensure they survive without worrying too much about who has more defense, but Fang has more attack, so she makes a better third party member. Optimally, you'd want Lightning with the ATB recover abilities. Mid-game party is Lightning, Hope, Fang, which can pretty much last you the entire game except for specific battles. In post-game you might want to switch party leader to Fang because she can do physical/magic null and to take advantage of Highwind.

SAB SAB RAV to debuff and build chain
also start leveling up the darkie he's the only one who gets haste.
Vanille is useful for many enemies later on, add she learns death and can spam it.

I used Lightning Fang Hope. I can't remember what my paradigms were. I definitely used COM/RAV/RAV, I think I even had a triple RAV for burst during a break for some enemies.
