Anyone else tired of every new AAA game feeling like an empty hallway with one or two bad guys jumping in once in a while to break the monotony?

Most are linear corridor games? Really? Because all I see these days are open-world games with nothing going on in them. Every game has to be made open-world, even if it doesn't help the game itself. The Witcher 3, MGSV, Ass Creed, Final Fantasy, Batman, and more. Some games do it alright, but it's much more common that linear hallways.

What are you even saying? Are you trying to imply that games like MGSV and Ass Creed are not open world? Unless your definition of a long hallway means a hallway that spreads out across an entire city I don't know what you're saying.
