There is no reason to ironically shitpost about PS4 anymore, it is so far ahead of the competition with so many studios making games for it that anyone with even a mild interest in video games will buy one. The exception being those from pc master race who think images like pic related are funny

For the life of me I can not understand why anyone gives a fuck about Souls game. They're so fucking boring.
Gravity Rush 2 and Horizon are the only games I'm kinda interested in.

Also replayed some SNES and Genesis favorites. They're still fucking great.
PS1 was good for its day and the classics should certainly be played if you haven't experienced them before. But they aged real rough.

The game play and the drips of lore. Souls game are very atmospheric and oppressive, that feeling is unique and not many video games give you that. Then there's the combat and the risk/reward combat mechanic. Gameplay is very solid, that's the main draw.

It's probably real, but not nearly as much of an improvement as everyone is making it out to be.
Most likely it's a slim revision with a HDMI 2 port and a UHD BR player. At a push, it'll have a few improved internals.
But it isn't going to be a whole new console or some major improvement a la N3DS.

I was thinking the same thing. It just seems like Sony would shoot themselves in the foot if they made a version mid-gen that's significantly more powerful. Now Sony's isn't above doing stupid shit but I give em the benefit of the doubt. I'm waiting for a proper announcement just in case, and because there is nothing out right now that I'm dying to play. I'm good till September 30.
