i think gwyn was designed to be the easiest boss in the game. the whole story, he's hyped up as this immortal badass and what you see is a broken down shell of a king. he was the only boss i never died to on my first run. i just pitied him more than anything

they may be objectively easier but they're earlier in the game on somebody's first run. if somebody is on their first playthrough, i'd say they probably died more to those than gwyn. that was the case for me, at least. may have been a different experience for everyone else
