No, it will not. A passive cable will not convert HDMI digital signals to VGA analog signals.
You need an active converter box.

Then use a HDMI to DVI cable. HDMI and DVI-D are pretty much the same standard.
There'll be no audio though. Consider using the optical audio S/PDIF port on the Xbone for that.

But you aren't gonna get RGB quality out of it whatsoever if it's all just funneling into composite.
Don't but that shit op. Two completely different technologies. You need a decoder/encoder (think of a box).This won't be cheap. In theory you could build your own, but I've only worked with VGA so I am not sure about the HDMI transmission protocols. I'd try and get a cheap TV, you could maybe get a second hand one for cheap.
