From what I've played around with on alpha, it isn't that buggy and unplayable. Everything I've done have been 90% completed, few bugs, few things missing etc, nothing major.

Yet when compared to Cata/WoD it was substantial in terms of content. I'd say the last quality expansion Blizz made was MoP. Furry memes and weeaboo bullshit aside. It used a completely new art style for zones. New race/class, shitty new minigame, a lot of new lore (some great like Mantid). If you ignore how long Siege of Ogrimmar lasted; MoP was a great expansion.
Funny enough, my biggest and only complain with MoP was all the shitty Orc shenanigans near the end. They should have stuck with the Mantid/Mogu/Zandalari stuff all the way through.

I agree with you on MoP, and I actually remember at launch MoP's problem was actually giving you too much to do out of the gate. Way too many reputations with like 8-12 quests a day you did for meager reputation.
Pretty good items were gated behind reputations as well, and they all took forever to get with the exception of a few.
MoP eventually hit its stride with ToT though, and after that MoP was pretty good, SoO too. Just not do it 4 weeks a month for 13 months in a row good. No raid is that good, not even HFC.

i think if legion launches on june 30th, it's a sound strategy for blizzard because they can cash out on level boosts, but on the other hand, what investment does a new player have in a game he's played for a week, doesn't understand, and isn't particularly motivated o progress in? there'll always be people that don't mind throwing money away to 'be the best' immediately (and they'll be sorely disappointed), but i doubt that'll be a significant majority, especially that's well over 100 bux in transactions.

First, a lot of the big testers (fatboss, preach) aren't afraid to criticize blizzard when they want, they do it all the time. You would know this if you were paying attention.
Second, at least attempt to refute my points in the original post. It's a genuine question, what else is there to test? I forgot to mention PvP in there, but again, that has been basically set in stone talent-wise at this point, minus the exact damage numbers.

It was their thing in WOTLK, but they've normally just been good at AoE, not absolute gods other than that.
