I have to agree with this to an extent. One thing Super Metroid did so damn well was the storytelling.
And when I say that, I mean it didn't need storytelling. At all. The gameplay told you everything you could ever need to know, and aside from the unskippable and kinda boring intro monologue, the rest of the game is the cream of the crop of video games.
