Try downloading gameranger, its more alive and easier to use. You can chat to people before starting and there is almost always 15+ rooms full of people of diffrent skill levels.

I was at an EA event a few weeks ago and they mentioned offhand a new one was in the works. The EA play leak was probably fake as shit, but somethings coming. My bet is they make it mobileshit or something god awful

It's a shame that EA did this too the franchise. They CAN make very good games (Generals, CnC 3) but always manage to fuck shit up. Just like they did with dead space.

Just avoid 4, it doesn't even have bases. RA3 is decent and the mix of actors is entertaining, and I haven't got around to it but CnC3 is supposedly playable too.

Depends entirely on how you count. Technically (not counting spinoffs and expansions), 2 would be Red Alert and 3 would be Tiberian Sun. Tiberium Wars would be 6. But they decided to name it 3 because it's the third non-spinoff game in the Tiberium universe, which I guess they decided was the "proper" C&C universe at that point, which would make Tiberian Sun number 2.

I've probably played C&C3 the most, but Tiberian Sun's atmosphere was best.
Unfortunately it has so many useless units and poor balance.
Also the campaign of Firestorm was so much better than the regular Tiberian Sun's.
I didn't really care for the non-tiberium universes though I did play those.

Yeah, I remember as a kid playing it round a friend's house, who for some reason had a computer in their conservatory, so we could often barely see the screen and it was really warm, but good times. GOAT soundtrack, built-in level editor, fun without being autism-inducing.
On the other hand RA2 got me into modding - I remember fucking around making all kinds of dumb shit like nuclear attack dogs or some shit. I loved the full-on hammed up acting and another GOAT soundtrack.

The only one I ever loved was this. It's the only one I would reconsider replaying today.

Tiberian Sun was trash and the biggest disappointment of my early teenish RTS' craving life. It was worse than everything that had preceeded it. I have to say I did give Tiberian Sun another go like 5 years ago, and it's not so bad. I finished the GDI campaign. It's a fun game. By the time I tried Red Alert 2, I was already past the point where it could hold any interest to me.
Generals had goat multiplayer tho. So I liked that. Could the chinese nuke? I liked that.

I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed RA3's special mission expansion pack thing.
Not the one with the psychic girl, but the missions with special rules and limitations.
Red Alert 2 is still my favourite game to this day.

Thinking back, I remember me and all my friends were disappointed with it. I can't remember what we were comparing it to but it must have been StarCraft which just seemed so vastly superior at the time.
I recall us playing it for 30 minutes then just dropping it and going back to whatever RTS we were playing before that.
Although as I said, I replayed it years later and found it pretty good.

C&C 95 will always be dear to my heart. If I try to be more objective and not let nostalgia blind me, I'd have to go with C&C3. Felt like a good evolution of the classic C&C formula, and each faction feels unique and fun to play.
Special shoutout to C&C: Renegade's multiplayer as well. The fan-remake, Renegade X, is one of the game's I've sunk the most time into in recent years. Pretty much the only online shooter I've played where teamwork is absolutely, 100% essential for victory.

C&C 3 + khans wrath = epic base game campaign is great, khans wrath campaign is ok. There are lots of online match commentaries on youtube as well, which are very fun to watch.
C&C 4 = alright, worth playing for awhile. I enjoyed it.
