The Shadowmend spell functions in an inherently different way. Imagine needles made of literal shadow stitching up wounds, stuff like that. It's healing by using the physical manifestation of shadows to apply healing techniques.

It's being developed by the team who made Reaper of Souls, Metzen isn't directly working on Legion since he's tied up on Overwatch. It just shows how much one shitty leader can weigh down an entire development team.
Legion is going to fucking suck. The only reason people will play it is because there's nothing else to play. The devs are garbage and this game isn't even WoW anymore, it hasn't been WoW for awhile.
