The translations aren't terrible and things still work right. Arnice/Arnas sound basically the same while Lilysse and Lyuritis sound similar and keep the yuri/lily pun.
Since a lot of the issues are just formatting the text displays, I wonder how much GUST shares in the fault since they would be the ones implementing the changes.

Because that will probably be a deciding factor for me. A typical lightgun game with moving a cursor by control stick tends to be fairly disappointing. Gyro controls tend to be great for fine-tuned aiming, though. I'm hoping the game does have them so it's more than just House of the Dead with fanservice.
