I didn't much care for the cinematic trailer.
The opening for DaS was very good because it sets up a metal as shit world and shows us our goal in the form of the super hardcore as shit lords who were literally using apocalypse tier magic to destroy hundreds of dragons.
Even the cinematic trailer for DaS II was pretty fucking great showing off all these interesting locations (you never visit) that made me instantly want to have the game to explore.
The standard gameplay bullshot trailer for DaS III didn't do anything because I'm already used to the tricks (I knew the fucking second I saw Wolnir he'd be fucking trash and I wasn't wrong) and the cinematic opening trailer was pretty stupid.
We didn't see the Lords of Cinder do anything but rise from the fucking grave and Aldrich is barely shown. Overall the Lords were pretty shit. The Abyss Watchers got no build up and a mostly shit fight (the idea of them having a fight club while you just try to survive was basically 10% implemented), Aldrich gets a ton of lore but even then it's sort of split between Pontiff (who is a better fight), and all of Yhorm's cool as shit lore requires that you either read about it after you kill him and that you do a completely separate character questline that makes a pretty horrible fight into a hype as shit one if only to watch Siegward fuck shit up.
When DaS IV's "we need more money case" is inevitable broken the cinematic trailer needs to go back to just showing off cool bosses or cool locations again,
