You wouldn't believe how much they raped the lore in this game, but what do you expect when you've got people who don't read, let alone get, Tolkien working on this crap.

>The Eagles are depicted as animals no smarter than horses and live to serve you as your taxis and packmules in spite of being a fiercely independent and sapient race in the books.
>Dwarves are reduced to low-brow comedy relief and do nothing but make references to alcohol and Dwarf Fortress. Also, there's a dwarf that goes streaking.
>Elves all wear skimpy bikinis and fight with katanas.
>Anybody can be a wizard now.
>Barrow-Wights are literally hobbit zombies that moan "braaaains"
>Gollum's uncle is in the game and he's just Gollum's model with a cheesy mustache and an obsession for little girls instead of the Ring.
>Hagrid makes a cameo in this game. he just says "You dun it nao, Ranja" and attacks you.

First one already raped and shat over Tolkien's corpse. It's difficult to do worse

Are all of those points from Shadow of Mordor?
>>
>>332564067
Apart from the elves part I don't remember any of this in-game

One of the biggest flaw in my opinion is the facts that they're still guarding the gates even though they should have been gone since a thousand years
>>
>>332563778
This reminds me of Fuck Legacy Of Kain: The Game, whatever happened to that game?
>>
>>332564067
The game's very premise pisses all over the lore, what with the protagonist being resurrected (something that canonically cannot happen) and teaming up with Celebrimbor the friendly ghost.
>>
>>332565183
but it happened to gandalf ;^)

I'm just waiting for Ezio to appear.

What fucking game are you even talking about? This doesn't exist.
>>
>>332565319
Gandalf didn't actually die
>>
>>332565183
Glorfindel also got resurrected
>>
>>332565319
Gandalf is not mortal. Technically he's not even capable of death.

>>332565672
Possibly, although Tolkien didn't say for sure. Again though, Glorfindel is not mortal. In Arda mortals cannot be returned from death.

That's the rule, and although there is one exception to it, Beren was only resurrected because his wife is girl Elf Jesus.

>he doesn't play it

I bet you haven't found Morgoth's forbidden axe yet either

Glorfindel was an elf. He was resurrected by Eru because of his deeds

>Celebrimbor had to help Sauron forge the One Ring
>>
>>332563778
Reminder that the lore in the books is not entirely the same as the lore in the movie

Reminder that the movie universe is simply inspired by the book universe
>>
>>332567359
>Glorfindel was an elf.

Yeah, I know.

>He was resurrected by Eru because of his deeds

As I just said, that's a possibility. But Tolkien never actually said that Rivendell Glorfindel was Gondolin Glorfindel.

And if it did happen I think the gods would have done it, not God.
>>
>>332567758
He actually wrote two essays on Glorfindel and said that they were the same. The Tolkien Society website answers this question.

Would you dumb faggots stop using this fucking argument?

SoM is not inspired by the movies. SoM rapes the lore so hard it cannot be even tentatively connected to any part of the legendarium, or any meaningful representation of it.

As much as he may have fucked up in some parts Jackson at least kept the story grounded in what Tolkien wrote. His adaptations are mostly faithful. Even in the Jackson adapted Middle-earth SoM couldn't happen because its stupid plot BLATANTLY CONTRADICTS THE ESTABLISHED CANON.
>>
>>332567758
These essays are in The Peoples of Middle Earth, in the thirteenth chapter, and the essays are Glorfindel 1 and Glorfindel 2

It was fun.

Teaser at the end was bollocks, though.
