ITN was how to do a short R&C badly. QFB was better in literally every way for a short game.
ITN had no interesting platforming elements that did anything new. It had efffectively no new ideas.
I really think the platforming is something integral to R&C, not just the gunplay. Though that being said, QFB also had my favorite boss fight in the series.
