And in case someone's once again new to this PC gaming stuff: Use a program like DaemonTools Lite to mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" fix works as a no-cd crack as well, and is included in the pack.
In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.

The ending in which you get to read Mary's whole letter to James is some of the best writing I've ever seen in a video game, everything in that letter feels as though it was written by a human and not a vidya character.

Not sure what you mean. I did however feel that the voice acting was great. It made the characters seem as crazy as they actually were.

I just mean it in a way that it feels like the characters and their struggles feel so very real compared to most video games.
In a lot of games where the main character does something as awful askilling his wifeit's usually just because "hurr i was evil the whole time" or she gets corrupted or mindcontrolled or some shit like that.
