Good ARPG mechanics, Masterworks all OST, typical lame FF story and disney characters/settings are tossed everywhere. Might turn some people off but just like Undertale the gameplay and OST make up for any faults in story and setting

I think this game really made the plot a lot more convoluted than it ever needed to be. From this game it feels like they've just been using light and darkness as a means of magic to explain stupid plot elements.
The gameplay on the other hand feels great compared to KH1. A lot less clunky and, it feels like a more defined sense of progression through the game. Your combos become more drawn out and you have a lot more options to play around with in terms of what combos you want to have. The abilities menu definitely makes itself useful.
That being said, the enemy placement and level design don't really support this style of combat to its fullest and leaves everything feeling pretty shallow at the end of the day.
Overall the game takes 1 step forward and 2 steps back. KH1 is ultimately the better game (at least when talking about the original releases)

This isn't particularly useful or informative at all. The Remixes are an excellent way to experience the Final Mix versions of 1 and 2 in English, especially if you don't have a PS3.
As far as I'm concerned Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix is what all action RPGs should aspire to be like. Without a doubt game of all time.

The thing with the card system is this: your pretty much topdecking powerful sleights, and reserving a 0 card for attacks, and also remember about black cards, for example, Oogie Boogie is pretty good to survive, and the Shadow card is good for breaking sleights, also all Org. Members have elemental weaknesses, so plan ahead and stock up on the elemental raids.
