The FFVII one had some GREAT cinematography and the fight choreography lended pretty well to what I'd expect the characters to fight like in real time.
Alternatively, RE:Damnation was surprisingly good. Also great cinematography and fight choreography. Even the plot and characters turned out to be pretty okay, which is saying a lot for RE.
The japs seem to be wizards at full-CG movies.

Anyone who tries to pretend the first Silent Hill movie is good is delusional. It's ten times better than the second one, but still bad. No, not just because it's different from the games (that applies to the ones I mentioned above as well). Just on its own it's a terrible movie.

It's good on the virtue that it's one of the best game to movie adaptations, but as a movie it's bad, mediocre at the best.
Also, compared to the second one the first movie is marginally better. Jesus fuck, I regret watching Revelations on the theater.
I liked the Prince of Persia movie a lot, people complained that its ending made most of the movie seem pointless and yeah I guess it did but it was basically just how PoP 2008 SHOULD have ended instead of the prince going full retard so I was happy with it.

Street Fighter: The Movie was dog dick fucking awful. That's actually part of the reason I love it so much. The writers and director took it so seriously and Raul Julia was like, "this sucks, but I have cancer and my grand kids love Street Fighter so I'm gonna own the fuck out of this." And HE FUCKING DID! The last movie he made before he died was one of the worst movies ever made and I loved every minute of it.

The aesthetics, production design, and the general attention to detail to make the film really feel like the movie. Sure, they fucked up some of the lore and meaning, and the second act drags like a motherfucker, but I thought it pretty neat and closer than anything has come to really getting the translation between mediums.
PoP was cool too, if a bit derivative. Doom had nothing to do with the game, but it was fun for being a scholcky B-movie (and that that god-tier FPS sequence).
I have a fondness for the first Hitman movie, specifically the director's cut. Long story short, it's closest to what the director wanted to be released in theaters. Like Doom, it's schlocky, bloody fun.
