Is there a way to get of the annoying mouse lag? I tried uncapping the FPS and then capping it with a 3rd party program but I can't seem to get it to work. Game is too unstable uncapped and the mouse lag, while bearable, makes aiming a lot harder than it should be.

I enjoyed the game immensly, but after finding out he was basically handed a half finished game and told to finish that shit up, I was disappointed. Then to find out he didn't even want to do it made it worse.
Game was pretty good once you play the 2 dlc though, it was better than re5 and 6. Not that that's saying much sadly.

They really love big mainstream releases like Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Seeing how Dishonored is getting a sequel, I believe it will.
Honestly this is the new Resident Evil for me. After Revelations, Revelations 2, Re6 and Raccoon City, I've given up on Capcom for horror games.

It was a decent horror-themed shooter with some obvious flaws. It would be neat it they got a chance to make improvements with a sequel.

I think it's better than modern RE in thr sense that it's more or less a better take on what the Revelations games were trying to be. Personally, I thought it tapped into classic survival horror design as well as a modern AAA game could be expected to, that is to say the concept isn't ENTIRELY dead.

Nah its Mikami's calling card and the team is used to the horror realm. Vanquish 2 will never financially successful, but as of right now horror is a big untapped market that indies are all over. Hell the recent success of Remake Remastered would benefit an Evil Within 2 over a Resident Evil 7 due to Capcoms shift in focus.

I know it plays well to have a bullet point on your box saying "The next great survival horror game by the king of the genre," but that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying I would like him to do other things, because the few times he's done so it's resulted in some of the best games in their respective genres.
He's making more RE4-likes because he's being typecast as a director, and that ends up being what pays the bills at the end of the day. I sincerely doubt he's pushing to make more of them himself.
I hope Bethesda goes for a smaller digital release similar to Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, but they kind of already had that with the Kidman DLC if you put them together.
Something with better pacing than the main high budget game, minor improvements and hopefully an answer to modern Mercenaries or the older level arrange modes like 4th Survivor for quick bursts of play. That's what I want.

All I know is that he is truly a fan of horror. His favorite film of all time is Dawn of the Dead 1978. If he loves the genre and is given the correct freedom I trust he can do something new that isn't RE4-like

He appears to die in at least two different ways and at different times. I always thought the point of that paradox that you explore in the DLC was that one way or another, Kidman kills Joseph (in the operating theater and in the park) and eventually all the minds in STEM agree on that fact regardless of when or how it happened.

They've got a different feel but they're suprisingly enjoyable. The safe-head DLC is apparently just a power trip though, so if you don't want to just enjoy stomping monsters, you can skip it.
