Now that the dust has settled, who is getting GOTY?
Hitman, Dark Souls 3 or Deus Ex Human Revolution 2?
Will win: Hitman
Should win: Deus Ex
>>332478303
None of these.
Hitman is garbage, Deus Ex will probably be good but unpopular, and Souls isn't enough of a normie-pleaser.
Tomb Raider, Dark Souls isn't even in the running since its japanese.
NONE HAVE THEM HAVE BEEN RELEASED WORLDWIDE/FULLY RELEASED YET.

>Now that the dust has settled
>Unreleased games
Dark Souls 3 is from 2009 as far as I'm concerned.
Hitman could end up get great but the episodic model and butchered Contracts mode stops me from caring much.
Deus Ex could be great or mediocre.
>>332478595
2009? It ain't bloody demon souls you half-wit spic
>>332478448
>Hitman is garbage
Kill yourself
>>332478723
I don't see any significant difference between Demon's Souls and future Souls games. There are some steps forward, some steps back, but it's the same technologically and actually regressing in terms of the unique online functions.
>>332478303
Unless Dark Souls 3 manages to live up to the enormous hype then Hitman will be my GOTY.
Human Revolution 2 would have to do something amazing to win over the other two, but all I want form it is just more of the same except better, which it seems like it'll deliver. It won't be anything extremely mind blowing, but it'll be fun and replayable, and that's all I'm expecting from it.
>>332478303
Hitman honestly has potential
If they can sort out the god awful DRM breaking the game (and the long loading times) I reckon it will shape up to be a solid game once the rest of the levels come out.
It actually feels like a bigger and better blood money which is a good thing

I haven't had this happen to this extent with any other game
>>332478448
>Souls isn't enough of a normie-pleaser.
Souls is full normie/meme game, though.
Persona 5
>>332479137
That's Baader-Meinhof for you bro
Dark Souls is rehashed more than the mario franchise at this point, so DS3 is stale
Hitman is unfinished/borked
Deus Ex never had any follow up games as far as I'm concerned so I don't know what this human revolution 2 you're talking about
overall, my vote goes toward gravity rush remastered desu
>>332478303
>Hitman
God, no.
>Deus Ex
I loved Human Revolution, and I'm pretty sure Mankind Divided will be shit.
>Dark Souls 3
Porbably this.

>>332479429
You heard him.
HITMAN is surprinsingly good. But the shitty bussiness decisions are going to hold it back so fucking much....
>Dark Souls 3
More the same good stuff I had in 2014.
>Deus Ex
More the same good stuff I had in 2013.
>Hitman
More the same good stuff I had in 2006
Hitman wins as the wait has been the longest.

Hitman just needs more content right now, because its beyond barebones. As much as I've been trying my best to replay it, Contracts gets boring because its way too limited and the maps being designed solely around the main targets mean the contract will either be piss easy or you'll have to throw you limited amount of coins in very specific ways to pull it off which more often than not makes it for some arbitrary bullshit that isn't fun at all trying to figure out.
Escalations are just you doing the same thing 5 times in a row and rarely do the new complications force you to take a new path, the first Escalation that shipped with the game still remains by far the best one because it forced you to switch around your tactics the most.
Elusive Targets haven't even seen the light of day yet, what the fuck.
The core gameplay is fun, and the Paris map is fucking great, but there's only so much one can replay the same map over and over with barely changing objectives before things stop being fun. That being said, I still easily put 30 hours into it, but people who haven't been as starved for Hitman as much as I was will definitely get bored way faster.
>>332480231
but was itworth the weight?
>>332479990
imagine hitman.. complete..with nostalgia maps of old missions
also I never played Absolution, should I get it?
>>332479141
stop browsing 4chan and talk to some dudebro gamers and you'll realize it's not
>>332481517
>also I never played Absolution, should I get it?
Only if very, very cheap, or if you pirate it. Its not exactly a bad stealth game if you look at it in isolation, its quite generic and can be fun in some instances, but it is not a Hitman game. At fucking all.
If you want to see what it will play like for 90% of the game, watch this.

Except that the Souls games are pretty damn popular.
Demon's got GOTY 2009 from Gamespot of all places, and Dark Souls is basically the "le hard gaem" meme with all the normie gamers.
I will post this in every thread that claims GOTY and remind them that they are wrong.
GOTY thread.. and I just realized I haven't beat Yakuza 5
>>332481517
Don't listen to him, anon, Absolution is a great game, the mechanics, along with the graphics if you care for it, are absolutely top notch.
