It's the same reason all the hipster faggots who refuse to listen to music recorded in the last 30 years do so. Because until music is a certain age it can't possibly hold artistic merit.
The problem is Her Story wasn't particularly interesting.
You can make this premise work, sorting through various tapes and trying to piece together the truth among her statements. But her story was so...boring.
Isn't this one supposed to be some fridge horror interactive movie where there's something spooky going on that gets slowly revealed by the dialog, or am I thinking of something else?
It's a pretty good example of interactive fiction, but a fairly poor, almost inexistent game.
Worth a check if you're into that kind of things.

the story was pretty terrible anyway. yes you can chalk it up to 'unreliable narrator/multiple interpretations' but i thought even taking that in to account the story was incredibly pulpy and amateurish. the acting wasn't very good either. that kind of acting could only be permitted in a video game.
