MGS5 has been criticized post-release all across the board and all the 10/10 reviewers were called out on their shit.
Even Dewrito Pope who is a literal IRL very close friend with Kojima cucked him out of all the awards except music.
I still don't think MGS5 deserves it because 90% of the music in that game is wub trash or almost non-existant ambience and licensed tracks. But the remaining 10% is actual pure gold original material so eh.

Solid and Otacon not being brutally executed like bitches on-screen, Raiden not being grinded into mince meat by Outer Haven and Sunny having a happy end are all things that his team forced him to implement since Kojima originally wanted Snake, Otacon and Raiden to die and Sunny have an unhappy ending.
He also got rid of Fukushima prior to MGS4 which is why writing in general suddenly turns into trash starting with MGS4.

I think some of the lines are due to cut content. Maybe the CQC thing was used in a training scene similar to Peace Walker? I think the lines of Big Boss firing people and moving them to Quarantine might have been for an early idea for Mother Base where you actually do it all by hand. Imagine quarantining all of those people one at a time, on foot, in Mother Base. I can see why they would have scrapped that.
