If I put a mushroom it spawns a mushroom even if you're super. If I put a fire flower it spawns a fire flower even if mario is small.

Man, it ain't that hard to find info about it.

Place a mushroom into a fire flower/leaf/cape/whatever, and it will transform into a linear powerup, that acts just as you say. It also plays a bitch ass sound.
