I prefer Ages to Seasons but you should still play Seasons first, if you play Ages first there's a map tile you'll never be able to enter.

I dunno. I mastered every other part of the game except that. Could easily 99% the game without dying entirely from memory, but I've never been able to get the heart piece from the Dark World shovel minigame except in the GBA version.
