Yes, it has it flaws but it cuts out the 20 minutes of >muh farming garbage and gets straight to the action. The only people I've seen dog on the game are those who haven't thoroughly played it. I use to call it fisher price garbage during alpha and when I actually played it and stuck through with it and played hero league, got rank 1 etc, I was completely wrong about it being fisher price.
It cuts out the monotonous gameplay and leaves only the juicy bits for 20 minute fun matches. That was the worst shit about playing DoTa and LoL was the 30 minutes of tedium and having games go upwards of 1hr 30 minutes. The game definitely needs more heroes but it's new and they're releasing them fast.

It hurts, and I'm glad I haven't played it in months. The skill-ceiling is the height of my desk and the depth is nonexistent, instead of getting rid of laning all together, they leave it there for experience gains so you just end up nuking a wave or standing in experience range doing nothing. There's no player-choices and individual skill is meaningless. not to mention the horribly bland skillsets.
I suppose if you enjoy spamming spells at eachother all day without thinking it's a decent experience, but it wasn't enjoyable for me. It just felt so unrewarding to play a game that's a watered down version of another watered down game.
I agree about the match length, but most games I play in Dota are around 30 minutes, but then again I've just played the Arcade games the past few months.

Just because there's no items doesn't mean there isn't depth, a good amount of character have options when it comes to talent choices and items don't add depth at all, let's be real here.

not true as well but it's a VERY team based game, that's what actually makes it different, there's no carry fags and if you actually work together as a team you win.
Many people that play hots go into it trying to play like LoL and carry shit, not working with their team at all, cry about ks and shit. It's a mess and these people will never succeed in this game. I lead MANY pugs to victory and rank one, it's all about team work and it's very satisfying, if the enemy team isn't working together they fall hard.
