Pretty sure that of all people associated with the Escapist, Yahtzee has the easiest out if the site does shut down. He was pretty much the only draw of that site and has established a decent enough subscriber base on Youtube. Not being associated with the Escapist and getting in all the ad bucks plus the Patreon he can make and get some great cash from.

Maybe everybody's mileage varies, but I've dated plenty of cute girls and the usual pattern is that things are nice for a year or so and then they eventually sweep all your needs aside and return to kind of a self-centered baseline. Like, not completely self-centered, but somewhere along the way putting more energy into a relationship doesn't mean you get an equal investment back and you settle into being fundamentally alone but also with somebody.
