its the same as any fighting game really. Yeah they add all sorts of modes and shit to make the game seem more complete. When all people really want is a good training mode multiplayer offline and online, and maybe a arcade mode or something similar. Everything else is just extra bullshit that most people will do maybe fucking once then not at all.
when I got SFV I completed the story mode in about a hour and half(every character) which sets your player level to around 120. Most people I play only raised their level through online play making it very low. So even with a story mode most people don't even fucking play it with besides more than 2 characters.
