I'm saying from personal experience. Ludwig and orphan are hard sure but so were the dlc bosses for dark souls. Bloodborne gives you faster healing, a ridiculous amount of iframes when dodging, the ability to dodge if you miss a counter, and you regenerate health by hitting enemies. Add in smoother mechanics and frame rates plus less bullshit difficulty moments (such as Orstein hitting through Smough, enemies hitting through walls) and you have a easier game.
For all the right reasons though, I personally like it better.

Armor doesn't really matter when bosses will thrash your shit regardless if you stand around like a lemon. Stack resistances accordingly. Fighting a enemy that uses lightning? stack Bolt Defense. Fighting a enemy that leaves poison fart gas everywhere? Stack Poison Resist. Etc.

If you take a lot of hits then put more shit into Vit, End should be good enough unless you feel like your bar is running out way too fast. Str and Dex are somewhat overleveled, Stick to the stat that has better scaling with the weapons you use and the other one should be no higher than the prerequisites of the weapon you use. Bloodtinge and Arcane are for specialized builds, unless you intend to use the weapons and items that pertain to those builds, dont touch em.

Decent weapon, but if you're more for skill weapons the Saw Spear or the Saif outclasses it. If you're more for strength weapons I'd switch over to Kirks or the Wirligig

Op here, only reason. Have bloodborne is cause I let my friend borrow my ps4 for a month while I was on vaca, and he bought it and let me have it when I returned. I tried playing DaS2, didn't put more than an hour into it cause of how slow and boring it is. Don't bother leveling up the gun.
You should use whichever weapon that suits your playstyle. Try different weapons, and when you find something you like level it up and put some gems on it.

Nowhere near as useful as it might sound. Blood Vials don't heal shit compared to estus, and a lot of bosses like Ludwig can shit out 70% of your health or more in one attack.

Offset by counter damage if you mistime a dodge. Not 100% convinced you get more i-frames either, i'd need to see actual data to make a judgement.

The amount you gain is paltry as fuck. The mechanic is good when fighting regular enemies to cut down on vial usage, but you should never be spam attacking a boss to reclaim 8% of the hp you just lost.

The only advantage pistol has over blunderbuss is range, which doesn't help for parrying. It's a lot easier to miss at close range with the pistol. Blunderbuss is objectively the best pick for parrying.

The only reason DSP has beaten any Souls game is because he uses the stream chat and he over-levels himself and tries to cheese the boss fights. The first time he wasn't over-levelled in Bloodborne during The Old Hunters in NG+, he couldn't even beat the first boss and he gave up.

Play both games and try dodging then decide for yourself. Bloodborne give you iframes throughout the entirety of the dodge animation it seems like. Dark souls you can get hit mid dodge, there is a sweet spot. Plus get trapped in a corner in dark souls and try spamming dodge to get out, then try the same in BB. I gaurentee BB will give better results.
Also missing the dodge rarely happens because you are at a safe enough distance, and he recently is better than paltry. Blood goals heal more and more as the game progresses, they heal as much as estus end game.

In the other souls games that works just fine. In Bloodborne it's really not necessary. Stamina regenerates a lot faster and you only need one dodge to get out of any bad situation. Weapons consume less stamina overall (except fuckhuge ones like Kirkhammer) and the increase in stamina for leveling it up is pretty weak. Yeah it's fun to pull off ridiculous 10-hit combos with BOM but that only works against a handful of bosses.
My first build I leveled endurance to 40 assuming it was as important as it is in Dark Souls. My second build I didn't level it at all and my playstyle was unaffected.

15 endurance is enough for the entire game. Stamina costs are pretty low in Bloodborne, and there's no equip load, so you don't need a lot of it. Health is more useful.

It's a matter of investing tens of thousands of blood echoes into a few extra points of endurance so you can get yourself out of this one incredibly specific and rare situation that only arises if you over extend yourself in a game where dodging is incredibly easy, versus putting the same amount of blood echoes into having more health all of the time, or doing more damage all of the time. It isn't literally worthless to level endurance that high, of course, but your other options are better and more universally reliable. The way you're describing it sounds like you level your endurance for more stamina specifically to get you out of situations you put yourself in by playing poorly, rather than leveling stats you'll see more returns on for playing well.
