Pikachu Libre wouldn't be so horrible if it was possible to see what the fuck was going on when you're fighting against her. But there's dumb spark effects everywhere that only simplify part of why fighting generic Pikachu is so irritating in the first place. Too small. Too hard to read animations and intents. It's obnoxious as hell that they've made a character yyou basically have to learn to play in order to be able to understand how to fight against. Normally you can just learn by fighting somebody, but I think Libre requires you to train with her a bit to learn a bit better how to read her fucking horrible animations.

There's no such thing as an overhead in this game. There are high/low attacks but that only matters when you're fucking with stances in duel mode

that's kinda how it works for nearly every fighting game. Obviously there are exceptions but if you noticed that a lot of top players in fighting games (Infiltration, Jwong, SonicFox, etc) know how to play a large amount of the cast at least on an intermediate level.
