I enjoyed the game, but it has a lot of faults. Slow combat, framerate, and grinding to make characters useful becomes tedious. I bought it on sale over a year ago, I wouldn't recommend paying more than $10 for it if you just want to experience it for yourself.

Honestly, it's a really shitty game. Stages are way too short. Game is way too easy especially once you get that sword that lets you spam some range attack crap.
It's another way overhyped 3ds game that sucked.

This game was shit but I really enjoyed it when I was playing, I picked it up with some free DS bucks with my SMT4/FE combo just to waste some time and the mindless mashing was a lot of fun. Would not recommend it to anyone else ever though.

OG 3DS got an update like 2 years ago that opened up some extra CPU power, the game runs great now actually.
The problem with the game was that levels were like 10 second long for 2 minute of loading. It's not like D&D or other beat em up. You go in a small map, kill 10-15 monsters and warp out.

I got it for free (kinda) when Nintendo had that whole $30 for SMT 4 and Fire Emblem thing back in 2013.
Worst digital purchase I ever made honestly, I had a passing interest in it and thought it was gonna be good. Same with Pokemon Y, I got it for free that same summer after registering like 5 club Nintendo codes. Couldnt make it past 5 hours.

It's about as "fun" as a title like Final Fight or Double Dragon can be.
The only notable things is that the shop has the best shop music you've ever heard in a video game and that you can play as every single enemy you kill, including the final boss.
Also the girls are nice i guess, people prefer Zozo but i prefer Distille.

The only grinding I experienced playing was leveling up new characters and getting them gear so they were useful if I wanted a change of pace. You can just stick to a couple characters you like through the entire game.
