Unreal 1 and 2 are shit, Unreal Tournament 2k4 andChampionship 2are great.

The only thing that made Half-Life better to me was the pacing. Apart from that, it's a real fucking shame that Unreal doesn't get talked about the same way Half-Life does.

Unreal was groundbreaking. I only got into the series when UT99 was released, but going back and playing Unreal was great. To this day it still looks good and is enjoyable.
UT got me interested in mapping, and lately ive started working on a game in UE4. Epic really did some great things with Unreal and UT99 desu. The rest are okay, but Unreal and 99 and the development of UDK-UE4 were golden.
