I think he was probably one of the best characters to come out of New Vegas. He gives a lot of insight on Caesar and showed that he doesn't like the path his life went down and continues to go down.

My favorite of last year was Boom to the Moon by Jokerine. There was some major thought put into that one.
As far as older mods DEIMOS is still one of my favorites too. It's a tad shallow as far as content in the middle but the whole concept is good and that opening scene to the mod proper will hype you through the roof
If you look at the highly rated mods on nexus you really can't go wrong but these two the only one I'd recommend to anyone.

This game also has the Mormon Fort in Freeside, which it refers to, but also never mentions Mormonism in context of religion.

Mormonism as it exists now and likely existed pre-war in fallout is confined largely to Utah and Idaho.
There are a significantly larger number of Catholics and Protestants in the US than Mormons, especially in California, where the majority of the series takes place.
I don't see how Mormonism could have realistically absorbed all various other christian beliefs.

If there's one thing about New Vegas's DLC that really bummed me out, it's that each one more or less confirmed things that were supposed to play a prominent roll in Van Buren like the tribes, New Canaan, etc are all gone, assimilated into the Legion, or destroyed and we'll likely never see them show up in a future game.
I mean it's probably for the best given the direction the series has taken, but still I really would have liked to see a lot of that stuff.
