Anamanaguchi is the focal point of the game. The story is that the band members have been captured and you have to rescue them. They did the soundtrack for th game and were supposed to be working closely with the developers but it seems the devs cut them them out from all creative decisions and decided to cut corners to shit the game out for a quick buck.
I'm not sure what exactly happened but it seems the straw that broke the camel's back here is that after the Gamespot article was released, Gamespot reached out to both the devs and Anamanaguchi and after three days, there was no response from Anamana yet and the devs threw a fit about them being "unprofessional" for not responding right away, resulting in Anamana throwing a fit and releasing the entire game for free and telling everybody to check out how fucking terrible the game was.
