Is there any game that nailed that gothic atmosphere as well as diablo 1?
I've been craving a good gothic themed rpg lately but nothing hits that setting like diablo. Everything either goes to vampire foppish or too high fantasy with it.

Did you read the part where I said vampire foppish-ness was a bad thing? I mean if thats what you like fine, but personally I'm sick to death of everything gothic being a token gargoyle in the background of a furnished hotel with red velvet everywhere and silk shirts. I want cathedrals, knights, catacombs and the like.
It's the music and the small viewing distance.
