Which is better, the PS2/PS3 or Wii version?

This. Only good thing about okami Wii is wide-screen and skippable cut scenes.
Controls are unbearable.

PS3 version for combat, wii for everything else. Pointer painting is far better than joystick painting
PS2 for full credits
PS3 for everything else and more.

He dislikes it because he wasn't a part of the port.
Still, it sucks because the wiimote just doesn't work properly for some reason. It's the first game where I actually had trouble with the wiimote.
PS3 is the better one, but you miss the original credit song and the loading minigames that actually give you currency.

Maybe he just dislikes it because it's a bad port. You said yourself the controls don't work well and they fucked up the paper filter.
Fantastic game, play it with a proper controller not the Wii.
Why was okami 2 so overlooked? Was it that bad or..?

It's not Okami 2. It's also pretty forgettable.

PS3, the remaster is amazing
>>332308574
ps3 with move controller is an option
>>332308195
Im so happy that this game got a thread for any reason. I think Okami is an underrated god tier game.

It's not underrated at all. If anything it's overrated. Not very well known maybe.

Capcom shut down Clover, there will never be an Okami 2. Capcom may defile its corpse at some point, but don't be fooled.
>>332309713
Capcom didn't actually fire anyone though, they chose to leave instead of being absorbed back into capcom.
Anyone who says the wii had bad controls never played it and is more than likely just salty Clover got BTFO by crapcom.
It has perfect brush controls
The ps2 version is the best and uncut.
Ps3 and wii have been edited specifically to spite Kamiya and his team, most noticeably in the end credits, removal of clover logos and mini games.
PS3 all the way.

Wii versions combat is clunky, unresponsive and generally slower than ps2. So what you can draw a circle better? You have the option in the remaster anyway.

I like the Wiimote, and had no trouble with games like Trauma Center, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Mario Galaxy or Sin and Punishment. I only had to draw the curtains when the sun was setting because it would fuck with the IR.
Okami on the other hand refused to work properly. I had to play in complete darkness, and even then the pointer would freak out. The waggle to attack worked 30% of the time too, which didn't happen with Twilight Princess.
Motion controls feel clunky at times. Especially when using a sword weapon.

It's ok
