If you're new to MMO's......hate to say it, but WoW is still the best if you didn't experience the last 9 years of it, so you won't be complaining about how shit it is in comparison and may enjoy it.
FF14 is what people sick of WoW go to, but it's not a real replacement MMO, it's something you play for 1-2 months then unsub, then resub for 1-2 months when there's a content patch. You also have to deal with most people you meet being on PS3/4

Pretty much everyone that wants to play mmos already has so there's no point trying to draw in new consumers.

I spent maybe an hour killing whatever fuck sort of critter I was meant to be killing to get its drop that was at like some 5% bullshit and quit, it was fun at first but that killed it.

I don't like running around talking to a million npcs to do my quests, put them right next to each other. Make the questing world large, but the hub fucking small and convenient. Why is that so hard to make?

Dead Frontier is that, but no crafting per se.
You mastercraft weapons so they have better stats though, but it is completely random.
But missions are easy to comp´lete if you know your shit, no bullshit.
The bullshit is the end game, where you can't get the best gear unless you spend real cash or a whole year of looting or merching.
But you can have fun from level 1 to around 50 without paying and people sell membership underwater for in game cash too.

I just took a look at it, I'm not sure back peddling in circles for hours is my thing.
So guys get this, I've been left by this virtual girlfriend I had a week ago because I didn't grant her access to the guild bank.
Three days later I wasn't getting any more nude pics from her and I was horny so I basically let her in and gave her access.
Today I log in and the bank is EMPTY like not even fucking level 90s epics are there anymore and the girl gquit.
I was just an officer and I'm pretty sad about how things turned out which made me gquit aswell out of shame.
Planning of not logging this character or any of my guild alts ever again.
The thing is she deleted me from battlenet and skype too. She probably thinks I'm angry with her which I'm really not, just disappointed.
Already tried sending friend requests on skype and sent her a tell on my characters but she ignores all of them.
I deleted my 100 shaman which I didn't use anyway to make an alt and tell her Im not mad but she ignored me and doesn't answer to mails.
Would asking some random person in Orgrimmar to talk in my behalf (for some gold) be too much?

If you use a guide, you can beat aggro in a few minutes.
Although you are right, the Flaming black titan really takes some circling to kill, but it is not obligatory unless you want to do all missions.
You can simply loot and pvp and hunt bosses that are easy to kill if you want.
It is not for everyone though, not all people like it.

Star Trek Online is really excellent. If you've ever thought about giving it a try, do. I've played every available f2pmmo in the west (as well as FFXIV) and Star Trek Online just has way more content for a free player. It was the first of these games that felt worth sinking money into.

Gunbuster is one of the best mecha ever made. That dudes a pleb and probably loved sword art online and Attack on Titan for there deep plots and well written characters.
Every other month I go and research the status of all mmo and any upcoming games, and every time I get disappointed.
Sometimes I wonder if I even enjoy these kind of games.
