I'm actually really looking forward to it now more then I originally did. With SFV being major disappointment to me I'm literally everything except the core gameplay. Aria is pretty damn weird. I haven't spent much time with her, and my brain does not work in the way Aria's playstyle wants it to. As far as I know, the three health bars kinda get mixed up for me, because I can't always remember which mode has which health, and I end up switching to a mode I don't want and getting KOd instantly.
If you can pay proper attention to the health bars, and keep the most effective mode alive for the character you are fighting, you should be just gravy.

I also wanted it to be fun, 1vs4 could have been a great concept, but the whole thing is so boring and simple. There is almost nothing to do. Combat is slow and simplistic and you just run from room to room. And it's not like game had some interesting missions, there's like 1 or 2 where you do something but kill everything.

Gigantic is fantastic. I got bored of Overwatch after a few days and went back to Gigantic. They managed to squeeze a whole shit load of fighting in 15 minutes. It feels so fucking good defending points and building Storm Drakes or Yeti Cyclops.
Gigantic has so many "Awww ya get outplayed faggot" moments. I play Margrave and Knossos all the time. Thinking about picking up Voden and Vadasi tho to support more whenever we get draft.
Gigantic better do well it's easily becoming one of my favorite pvp games. I also kind of hope Battleborn is good, it looks very similar to Gigantic actually that I could enjoy it also. But for real tho, Gigantic is one of my favorite games of the year I really hope it doesn't fail. Supposedly the studio is hiring people again and Pakko the Giant Lagombi is in development.

Spinal is all meter management and trying to stop your opponent from building meter with skulls. Shadow Jago's worst matchup is Spinal. But Spinal's problem is you have to get in first to build skulls, then drain meter. So its a lot of pokes and footsies. He's not easy to play.
Tusk looks like a slower zoner with power deflects (From Weaponlord) and all about heavy damage but his moves aren't very same. I'd imagine if you like big tank characters, you'd like him.

IIRC the reason Double Helix got it is because the head of Double Helix's favourite game of all time was the original Killer Instinct and he used to joke to MS reps that they would drop everything and do a new KI if asked. When they were taking new pitches for KI, MS asked Double Helix if they wanted to pitch. They made an alpha based on the design spec MS gave them, had an incredibly detailed and passionate pitch and their new engine was really fast and easy to develop on so they could make the launch date of the xbone. They got the job because Iron Galaxy had to drop (IG actually won the pitch but Dave Lang wanted to ship Divekick first and they dropped out).
There was a lot of butthurt because MS asked a few indies to pitch including Lab Zero and they had blowups because Double Helix got the project. Double Helix put an insane amount of passion into the game and it turned out decent. It didn't get Cuh-rayzee till Iron Galaxy got a hold of it but they did well. Shame about the amazon acquisition but that was a parent company issue

Much better. DH played it safe design wise outside of Sadira, breakers were too safe gameplay wise and it got boring. Iron Galaxy made it so that breakers were a bigger risk, Characters could do a lot more and overhauled the game to allow for multiple meters. They made it much interesting and complex and people wanted to play it so badly they petitioned the hell out of MS to get it on PC. They really were worthy.
