I got a PS3 to play DeS and a few other games. It's good, feels like a prototype DaS in retrospect but also different. It's pretty overrated by some people so you aren't missing out on much. I suppose the case is similar with BB but I haven't played it, I don't like the Victorian Setting.

I never notice trips so I wouldn't know. I like DaS and DaS 2 almost equally too. DaS 1 is my favorite but I think DaS 2 + DLC is still good at least as much as DeS. It was a few shortcomings due to its development but I had a lot of fun playing it.
Are you avoiding DaS 3 spoilers?
I'm excited for DaS 3 because all my favorite gear is returning + some cool new one. I'm also excited that it seems it sheds some new light on DaS 2.
Spoiler:Like I think it's certain at this point from what I saw that DaS 2 takes place in some land other than Lordran. Probably Vinheim. Vendrick stole from the Giants across the sea (from Lordran) the lordvessel with the Lord Souls and that's how they found their way there. Doesn't explain why the Giants look the way they do in that case and why they are a different race to even DaS 1 giants but maybe DaS 3 will expand on that too.
