Problems trying to find a game with my friend(this was probably related to the game, but at least it could have had some feature to actually use the friends list on the dumb client), game would crash and send us to the desktop if we tabbed while on the UI, no way to take screenshots within the client back then(this is the reason we also crashed repeatedly, trying to figure out how to take them). BF3 matchmaking with friends was such a hassle, especially trying to get into the same squad from the server browser bullshit they had going on that ran on fucking IE.
Some time ago, shortly after Titanfall's release, they had some promotion where you could download and play the game for a set amount of time(like the timer only ticked as long as you played), which actually got me and my buddies to reinstall Origin. Except the damn thing would finish downloading the game(ALL 50 GB'S OF IT), and then it would shit the bed and restart from scratch. 3 of the 5 friends who wanted to try it out got this problem, and it was always the ones of us on W7, the people on W8 didn't have any issues with it.
Fairly recently; another friend of mine that was pretty big on Dragon Age was pretty bummed out he couldn't mod Inquisition on Origin. Not related to me and not sure if it's still a problem, but worth pointing out.
That's what I remember off the top of my head.
We dropped the platform mostly on our anecdotal experiences, but a lot of the shit that was being reported by other people at the time wasn't really helping us stay attached to the thing.

Talk about reality, most enthusiast know these devs left activision and make the game, still cant prevent it from flopping. Devs growing a pair doesnt help them or the industry at large. Maybe if 90% of them do? Impossible since most of them dont even care about the business side and has no reason to. Replacing them isnt that hard either, no publishers have ever feared it. Unions will just bring more cancer into the industry and casuals seem to have enough money to buy whatever the fuck the marketers shit out. Maybe if we start supporting good business instead of flinging shit indiscriminately and/or buy the lesser evil's product (zenimax, cdpr, rockstar, bamco, valve, indie...) instead of games we want but with thousand of dlcs maybe they would have listened.

Well, originally the game was going to be self-published andPC exclusive,then they got some funding/help from EA and MS, and that required an Xbone version and succumbing to the whims of EA and MS.
Shame too, IIRC the game was originally meant to have a huge mod/custom map scene, that's probably why it was made in Source.

Oh god I'm so hard right now. I started playing when it got on origin access and it's shitloads of fun but even though it's technically complete there still just isn't enough content. Also being able to play more than one mode would be nice.
