The battles are still Fun(TM) in the Sunrider fashion - in other words, seeing exactly how many new and exciting ways the designer gets to shove objects up your butt.
Big problems is that it's really short with almost no "optional content" like MoA (which was already kind of lacking in that department)... and also instead of just giving people harem "choose your girl" hi-jinks that that they requested since day 1, it's him trying to out-stupid Metal Gear Solid with dumb plot twists and forcing you into a particular romance just for forced drama later on.
