Well it helps that I only can get the PS2 port to work which has a built in cheat sheet. And its not THAT bad.It is the weakest point of the game though, I do agree about that.

I only played the second one and I remember there was a puzzle I just couldn't pass, it was one where you have open a safe.
I have no mouth as edgy as it is, and there was one where it wad a kid pirate and he had a side kick i think...one scene was being told to not come closer from a foreverial tied up person, warning of a booby trap only to have stepped on it immediatly
YU-NO doesn't necessarily shine for its point and click aspects, but story is amazing, and the way branching story is handled is pretty amazing.

Full walkthrough was 83 hours for 100%.....
It's amazing how well the plot held together with how complex it was.
The dialogue was written as a whole and not just on the fly so you can pick up lots of foreshadowing if you read carefully.
Like at the beginning when your friend says the news reported two bodies found while your school headmaster said there was one body found.
Lots of dialogue that sounds pointless actually carried clues in it.
It's too bad the epilogue of the game was rushed because it felt like it could have been much more.
I haven't played a lot of point & click games so far, but from the ones I played, The Longest Journey has to be among my favourites.
Dreamfall wasn't as good, but had its moments.

Maybe because it was released in 1999/2000 when adventure games stopped being relevant. Toonstruck (pic related) also had the same problems, despite being from 1996, when adventure games were still popular.
Toonstruck couldn't compete against the big fishes of the genre (Monkey Island, Grim Fandango), but 1996 it was also the year that Quake and Super Mario 64 came out. TLJ, on the other hand, it came in 2000 as a PC exclusive, when everyone was in Counter Strike, Quake III and UT. Kinda blame proto-dudebros for killing the point & click adventure games.
