Why doesn't Fuuka need an evoker?
>>332252221
Evokers aren't necessary to summon a persona, they just make the job easier.
Also Fuuka does get one.
>>332252958
I know she gets one, but she doesn't need it.
The method for summoning personas in P3 is inducing so much stress on oneself that your persona comes out to protect you, but somehow Fuuka doesn't need to do that for some reason.
O-Ok
Fuuka is always thinking of and wishing she could blow her brains out so she doesn't need to simulate it.
>>332253950
That's rude, anon.
Fuuka doesn't deserve that hate.
>>332252221
Probably because some users are just more attuned to what causes it to happen. Or maybe due to her Persona being a Support role, and coupled with being in the Dark Hour and everything she's been through.
Also what >>332252958 said. I think she does use it in the 4th movie apparently, for one scene at least.
>>332252221
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MudzFTDejb0
She does use the evoker.
>>332256436
She does use it once for her awakening, but after that a praying stance is enough to call her persona forth.
Why can't everyone else? Is it because Fuuka's persona is support oriented?
>>332256871
Mitsuru and Akihiko can.
But it is more reliable to carry an evoker around in case they can't focus.
>>332257784
>Mitsuru and Akihiko can
Only in Arena, years of concentration and training later.
The only other person who doesn't need ome is Takaya, but he clutches his head in pain, probably recreating the amount of stress needed to summon his.
Was she a virgin?
>>332258194
Yes, but she probably broke her hymen while masturbating.
>>332258194
>>332258282
You guys are weirdos
>>332256436
Well everyone else uses it for a combat role, so that seems to be a likely reason. Having your Persona not fight and be for support, probably makes it easier for her to summon, whereas everyone else's Persona needs more focus, to handle fighting their opponents and for combat use in general.
>>332258607
I see.
So basically, non-combat personas don't require high stress for summoning?
>>332258194
Not after her stay in Tartarus.
>>332259414
I don't see why they would. The support users probably don't strain themselves the same ways, the combat Personas and users would, due to not having to be as active the same way the combat users are. Like I'm sure Mitsuru doesn't strain herself as hard, when she uses her Persona to aid in a support role, as opposed to it's combat role, but this is all speculation of course.
>>332258282
>>332259485
>>332259807
Not as weird as a shadowfucking slut.
>>332259790
I don't recall Riae needing to break a card to summon her persona either, i think that sorta confirms that support personas are easier to summon
>>332260389
*Rise
>>332260389
It's been a while but that sounds about right. Rise could also use her Persona fairly quick after accepting her Shadow, when she helped out the Investigation Team to fight against Shadow Teddie soon afterwards. She didn't really pass out or feel really strained when she gained her Persona after accepting as she was the navigator, for that boss fight, like how Fuuka assisted right away for Arcana Emperor and Arcana Empress. Kind of a parallel between the two from the two games.
>>332261243
Interesting.
So in conclusion, personas that support don't need evokers to make them come out since they aren't focused on protecting the user, but providing information.
Thanks, anon.
>>332262305
No problem. Well I wouldn't say so necessarily that's the case, but it seems to point towards that direction. I wouldn't be surprised however, if something similar happened for the main navigator for Persona 5, (if it has one), where they help out right after for some significant fight, then get rested, before they join the team proper.
>>332253158
But how would the evoker induce stress once you know it's not going to kill you?
>>332264537
Because it's magic
>Evokers contain a Plume of Dusk, which allows them to work during the Dark Hour and also aids in summoning one's Persona
http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Evoker
If it was just a simple gun shaped object it wouldn't work.
>>332264853
Shame they never explained it in-game. So they are fragments of Nyx. Interesting, thanks
>>332264537
Probably a combination of what >>332264853 stated and a placebo effect. It's tricking your brain/mind to thinking it'll kill you, even if it doesn't.
It could always be worse.
>>332265227
Yeah, it's only mentioned in the booklet, i think, it makes sense a lot of people that played the game seem to be missing this information.
No problem.
>>332264537
How would that work with a dog and a robot?
I'm still feel a bit depressed and empty after finishing the game a few days ago. I'm listening to the credits song on a loop while browsing /v/
This scene.. https://youtu.be/s5Vo0iAkYes?t=7m59s to 8:28
>>332265838
from the wiki
"While human members use gun-esque Evokers to summon their Persona, there are several unique cases. Koromaru, a dog, utilizes a collar-shaped Evoker to summon his Persona. Moreover, Aigis, as an Anti-Shadow weapon, possesses a built-in Evoker."
>>332265838
Aigis already had a Plume of Dusk within her. Her Evoker (which should have a Plume of Dusk like the other anon pointed out) probably amplifies the effect, making summoning the Persona even easier. The Kirijo Group did a lot of research to make sure, she was a usable Anti Shadow Suppression Weapon.
Koromaru has proven to be a very intelligent dog in general. Certain animals have shown to grieve due to death.
http://www.elephantsforever.co.za/elephant-emotions-grieving.html
Dogs should have a base instinct, of the fear of death probably, so his Evoker should work like the others.
>>332266443It hits hard.
>>332266708
I hope they expand more on his storyknowing he's now a seal to prevent humanity wishes from reaching nyx, and elizabeth trying to find a way to release his soul, would be nice having and ending with them reuniting after they die of old age or something
>>332267274
While I understand where you're coming from, reviving him would take away from the ending. The whole moral of Persona 3 is making the most of life, and to not fear death. If what you described did happen, and if it was handled well, I wouldn't mind but it have to be handled very delicately. If they do more with Elizabeth remains to be seen though, but if they do, best of luck. I do want him to have a happy ending, but the ending he got, as sad as it was, was fitting as well and peaceful.
That's definitely something more reserved for a spin off, as opposed to another main game.
>>332267753
Well I could think of some ideas in which there would be material for a new story, but it would only be an opinion and it would take too long to chat about it, and since what I write may not be that interesting to someone else and I'm not used to having long conversations in english and/or the internet I'm going to leave it at that, have a good night anons.
>>332268408
Fair enough, but don't be afraid to share such ideas in the future if you want. Have a good night. It's last where I am as well, so I should get to sleep soon as well.
>>332252221
>Why doesn't Fuuka need an evoker?
Because she's gud. Everyone else needs to git gud.
>>332252221
I like the older Fuuka with long braided hair in P4 Arena. She's more pretty than P3 Fuuka.
>>332268920
Everyone is good dude.
>>332269008
I feel the opposite, but they're both pretty regardless.
>>332269008
Well i likeboth, because they are both the Fuuka i lovei still preffer short hair, tho
>>332268408
Good night, anon
>>332269607
Not him but good night to you as well finally.
>>332269008
Fuuka is always pretty, no matter her age.
>>332265396
>>332264537
In the original concept, the Evoker is a functioning semi-automatic pistol.
It was never intended to be loaded, but the irrational spike of anxiety that someone may have tampered with or loaded the pistol you just stuck to the side of your head as you creep forward the trigger is more than sufficient for summoning a persona.
That's her secret. She's always, uh, envoked
>>332271128Nah.
Later Fuuka... my love.
