Frame pacing ruined it for me, the stuttering was so fucking annoying that destroyed my immersion
Its a shame, i really wanted to love this game
>>332228614
>>farming for blood vials
>>hard to get upgrade materials on NG+
>>chalice dungeons get boring
other than that i think the game is great
>>332228614
Nothing. 10/10 perfect game.
>>332228614
Do you have nothing better to do but shitpost?
Loving it so far; haven't felt this kind of wonder at an unfolding game world since Resident Evil 4. A decade is a long time to wait for experiences like this so I'm loving every moment.
I've just got to Old Reborn or whatever it's called. Only disappointing boss so far. Just very uninteresting design and not that enjoyable a fight.
I do kind of like how it's kind of an homage to Nito and Tower Knight, but I'm just not finding in fun.
Also find myself running out of insight very quickly if I try and co op, any tips on how to get more? I've found and used a load of Madman's Knowledge from various areas.
The chalice dungeons were a huge letdown
There's literally no reason to go into them besides gem grinding and maybe one or two weapons that are actually better than their default variants
They should have added some more exciting chest loot because like 90% of the equipment you find has no purpose
>>332229573
Get summoned for bosses. Each kill is 1 insight.
Running chalice dungeons can get you some really easily as well. You get some for each boss you find, and kill. Spamming some low rank ones can get like 10 insight an hour at least.
>>332228821
>farming
There isn't much you need to buy with blood echoes so you can literally just throw them at vials and never look back
not being on PC
The game runs at steady 30 in all areas but Old Yarnham and Yahar'Ghul which have slight stuttering. If that makes a game unplayable for you, then you are legitimately autistic.
60 is way better but it isn't a deal breaker.
>>332229786
Thanks, I'll give the chalice dungeons a go since I haven't really yet.
Also will I get something good if I do the upper cathedral ward? I got the key, but proceeded to get fucked by 5 beasts in a pitch black room
nothing
Bloodborne is a 10/10 game
>>332228614
Nothing.
I just finished the game for the first time last night and it was a literal perfect 10/10 game for me. Best game in the series by far.
>>332230412
Yes but don't worry about it until later, that place is a huge pain in the ass. You have a few bosses that way and some hidden items.
>>332229573
How did you run out of Insight? I had 99 at one point during my first playthrough.
>>332228614
The fact that it costs $400+ dollars.
Nothing. It shits all over Dark Souls handily.
Chalice Dungeons are incredibly boring though.
>>332230590
The only thing keeping BB at a 9.5 for me is Blood Gems. I actually like chalices, but having to go through them to be able to compete with PvP and NG+ is fucking stupid.
The chalices themselves are fine but they totally dropped the ball on rewards in them, until the very end of the chalices you feel like you are getting literally nothing for doing them besides materials to do more chalices.
Chalice dungeons were ass. That's about it. It shits on every Souls game and From should stop working with Bamco forever.
>>332230985
Yeah I actually really hate the Chalice Dungeons I thought they were boring as fuck. I did them just to get the Beast Claw then didn't touch them again.
Actually, the DLC lets you farm "good enough" gems without messing with dungeons.
I only tried out the game at my friends recently, the combat seemed awesome, but the parrying was a bit too easy, considering I picked the game up at Shadows of Yharnam, and beat them on the third try with parrying. The frame rate was atrocious tho, gonna wait for the new PS4 to drop, so maybe that will help out with the framerate.
>>332231930
you're delusional if you think Sony is going to fuck over the millions of PS4 owners by coming out with a new powerful PS4 than can magically play games at 60 fps.
>>332232086
I don't need 60 at consoles, but not running at constant 30 is a deal-breaker, obviously 60 would be a 100 times better since it's a fast paced action game, but sometimes you just can't get everything.
>>332228614
>I posted it again mom!
>>332228614
Consoles.
Nothing really
I put 80 hours in the first week and completed it. It was an absolute masterpiece in my eyes, the dlc confirmed my thought
I'm not one to care about 25-30 fps, so it didnt hinder my experience
No mechs.
The terrible graphics. Seriously it's fucking blurry dog shit and has retarded filters out that ass. DeS wasn't the best looking game by any means but it was league's better to play.
Nothing. The best Souls game by far. And it doesn't look like DaS 3 is going to surpass it.
>>332228614
I wouldn't say it ruined it for me, but combat is fairly spammy early on til you upgrade your weapon
I also can't enjoy a weapon if it doesn't have heft to its strikes, like the Axe, Kirkhammer or Wheel, but that's a matter of taste
>>332228614
>>332228614
I don't want to say ruined, but some of the bosses in the dungeons should have definitely been worked in to the main story. The Queen which had a part in the birth of Mergo is relegated to one of the very last chalice dungeons you have to slog through. Some of the dungeon enemies are really fun to fight against, it's just too bad they're in those tedious dungeons.
>>332229573
Stop ringing the beckoning bell and dying, I guess. Going through bosses gets you more, and ringing the resonance bell doesn't cost insight.
>>332233286
The chalices should have been reworked into the story in some interesting way, I like them, but they'd be better with each dungeon type being a single large, hand-crafted dungeon.
>>332228614
>Having to farm the chalice dungeons for good gems
>The inclusion of chalice dungeons as filler
>Having to farm for health items again after Dark Souls 1 fixed that problem
>Bell maiden system killed invasions and PVP
>Horrible covenant system
>Terrible weapon, armor and build variety
>Having to go back to hunter's dream in order to level up/upgrade weapons/respawn enemies/teleport to other areas
>Combat consists of spamming R1 and spamming L2 to get a parry when in trouble
To be honest with you, the best thing about Bloodborne was the setting and the Lovecraftian lore.
Gameplay wise, this game is worse than Dark Souls 2.
>>332232086
Where have you been? They're releasing it by the end of 2016. And yeah, usually with revisions come better performance, retard.
>>332228614
The shitposting.
>>332232086
>you're delusional if you think Sony is going to fuck over the millions of PS4 owners by coming out with a new powerful PS4 than can magically play games at 60 fps.
kek
Let's just say that you sonyggers are in for a surprise this e3.
>>332228614
Chalice dungeons, great in concept. Suffered in the execution.
Only real negative I have with the game. I didn't find farming for blood vials all that tedious as i didn't have to do it that often.
>>332233504
That would have been a lot better. Those dungeons could have easily had some spooky narrative and insane npcs hanging about, what with dungeons being the first place eldritch truth was discovered. They could have worked in some kind origin story in the item descriptions.
I've seen this thread twice today. Can someone explain this meme?
>>332234389
The chalice dungeons could have also been used as an excuse to find all kinds of different armor and weapons, since they are "ancient".
Instead they just rehashed stuff from the main game.
>>332234415
Its a bait thread in the eternal war between PCucks and Sonyggers
>>332234415
>>332234415
PCucks are still salty, evidently
>>332234496
I'm thinking Amy's arm would fit right at home in those dungeons. Same with that great sword that one chalice enemy uses. You do find more attire in the chalice dungeons, but it's only two sets i think. There's the bone ash set and the madman's set.
>>332234926
They could have also included plate armor and other types of unique armor in them.
But, like i said, they decided to rehash stuff from the main game in them.
>>332235256
Plate armor doesn't fit really though. In the dungeons you see plate armor laying on the floor. It's there to such an extent I'd go so far as to From Software wanted people to think the knights and warriors of old were simply too slow to deal with the faster enemies, because the armor just weighed them down.
>>332235663
> From Software wanted people to think the knights and warriors of old were simply too slow to deal with the faster enemies, because the armor just weighed th
That's a really bad excuse to limit armor and weapon variety though.
If people wanted to play the game as a knight in heavy armor, they should have allowed them to.
>>332235663
They explicitly stated that. Several lore pieces said Gehrman started the Hunters on the path of dressing light and being quicker and more aggressive than monsters.
>>332228614
>blaming it on frame pacing
shame, OP could have just said it was boring
(because it was)
>Ps4 exclusive
>>332236260
>A knight in heavy armor.
>In a Victorian era setting.
Right away that has no context in the time Bloodborne takes place. The only reason for the cainhurst armor being there is because the vilebloods were immortal and had upheld traditions on their isolated castle for so long.
Chalice dungeons were the best part of the game for me. If they massively revamped the mob variety and loot from them they'd be perfect and more people would like them. I'm sad there aren't any in DS3.
The way blootinge and arcane scaled for almost all trick weapons really killed a lot of runs for me.
Like for example, why is Chikage 2h form blood damage not just a buff to put on top of the dex scaling the 1h form has? Why is one form pure dex and the other pure blt? I think every almost weapon is like this and it annoyed the fuck out of me. Either split your stats up into both scalers for each transformation of the weapon, or you put it into either pure skill/strength or pure blood/arcane and only use 1 version of the weapon.
Really annoys the shit out of me. Great game otherwise.
>>332238973
Trying to get a physical weapon to scale with Arcane is much more of a hassle than the Chikage. At least with the Chikage, physical ATK gems effect blood ATK too.
Why do you keep making this thread?
