it's not about the visuals, you idiots.
you have to understand how fighting games work. the frames decide the speed of the game. certain attacks last a certain amount of frames.
if you go 30 instead of 60 fps then the games runs in a 50% slowmotion and that would change all of the input timings. that's why fighting games usually can't go higher than 60 and shouldn't go lower either.

the requirement is perfectly reasonable.

Literally dropped few games because they were running around 45 fps before I upgraded my rig. I can't even imagine how someone can play with 30 or even sub 30 fps. It just FUCKING HURTS your eyes when moving camera. There are no proper frame motion blurring as there in the movies so you just see that tearing during any movement on the screen. Anything lower than 60 fps for 3d rendered graphics is bullshit.

Consoles are shit but the idea that needing some overpriced, overheating, supercraphics card and an overclocked to fuck already overpriced, overblown CPU to play games is just ridiculous.

Graphics peaked in the late 90s, today's overdone graphics are just ugly and detrimental to gameplay. You can make playable 60+FPS games with serviceable graphics on very inexpensive PCs and let everyone play instead of this EleetSeekretClub bullshit nuPCgamers have set up.

Enjoy your lost data for not much actual speed gain. SSDs perform well in controlled benchmarks but in real world performance aren't that much faster than a good HDD that you don't have a fucking crusty old as shit Windows install slowing everything down on.

In SFV, if the game isn't running at 60fps for the PC player, the game will slow down to render every frame at whatever speed the PC can handle for BOTH PLAYERS, basically playing in slow motion

And then a shitty internet speed on top of that will constantly roll back and drop inputs

If the game was built to do so, you could probably play a fighting game online at sub-60 like any other game, but at that point you're literally giving yourself the disadvantage due to missing frames.
SFV compensates with slowdown, KI outright locks you out to prevent that.

The TB reaction image is the tell that he's just looking for a raise from us and probably knows better.

I'm sorry you're too peasant to play a fighting game at the intended, necessary framerate.

You can't play fighting games at 120 FPS. It goes twice as fast as it should. You can't play them at 30 FPS. They are half as fast as they should.

You can verify this super easily by using something like MSI afterburner and forcing a set framerate. See how easy it is to land even simple shit like hadokens. Try it at 120 FPS if you have a monitor that can actually do it.

People with shit wii fi, shit computers, and shit internet, playing from shit countries like Australia, was always a problem. Now I won't have to decline or quit on them, because they literally can't even join in the first place.

Yes, because the background is local and played on your machine. The guy eating infinite burgers on Xrd's America stage always eats them at the same pace.

If the opponent has a shit computer and shit internet, you'll be playing underwater.

The game has to actually read the opponent's inputs and match them between both machines, while the background guy is just a shitty animation that loops forever.

If your computer is too shit to play a fighting game at 60 FPS, it's time to upgrade. They always have lenient requirements anyway, because the japanese and 3rd world markets refuse to upgrade from their pentium 4s running SLI voodoo 3s.

There comes a time when you have to let go of your old shit, and that's when the latest entry in your favorite series can't be played at your native res, without fucking with the graphics settings at all, and while holding 60 FPS.
