Why haven't you gotten gud at shmups yet, /v/?
I'm working my way through Final Boss right now.
Because whenever I want to finish a videogame, I don't like to memorize it completely and then beat it and delude myself into thing I accomplished anything with my skill.

I can't. It literally is the hardest shmup for me, even Dodonpachi didn't spank my ass as much as this game did. I knew a guy who did beat it though, literally broke down in tears at the cube part.

I've had G.Darius, my favourite STG, for over 15 years probably and I've never legit beaten standard arcade mode because it's so fucking hard.
Currently playing Darius Burst CS and slowly inching my way up to the harder routes, but I'm getting rekt a lot on the way.
I mean, I guess the problem is probably that I keep wanting to 1CC in STGs without even really knowing the game inside-out. Maybe I'm too ambitious for my own good, but using continues just to get to the end wouldn't feel legitimate.
I've 1cc'd gradius. That's about it. I'm not good at this genre.

Because they look impossible. I can't deal with dozens or hundreds of projectiles while seizure-inducing graphics go off in the background, if not coming from my own ship's special weapons. It's just too much.. stuff going on at once to deal with.
